Universal Express Pass: Getting Shorter Waits at Universal Orlando
by Michelle Clark on 09-02-2010

Photo illustrating Express Line - Jurassic Park
Image from the PassPorter Photo Archive
Universal Orlando's "Express" pass allows guests to bypass standard lines at some attractions. Unlike Disney's Fastpass, Universal Express is not free. The upside of this feature is that fewer people will be utilizing the Express lines, making the waits generally shorter. More ...

The Beaches of Normandy: France by Cheryl Pendry on 08-26-2010
There can only be a few places in the world that have been so shaped by the events of wartime that even their names come directly from those incidents. Such places can be found along the coastline of Northern France, the beaches of Normandy.

Enjoying Life In Lyon: France by Cheryl Pendry on 07-22-2010
Ask anyone what the largest city is in France and you'd no doubt guess Paris -- and you'd right. But if you were asked what the second largest city in the country is, would you know the answer? Before we visited Lyon, I had no idea that it was, in ...

Lake Constance, Switzerland: A Tale of Three Countries by Cheryl Pendry on 07-15-2010
Lake Constance (or Bodensee to give it its other name) is not somewhere that sounds instantly familiar. It wasn't somewhere that I'd heard of, but that was before I started to develop an itinerary for our road trip to Switzerland. The lake is part ...

Burgundy, France: The Original Wine Country by Cheryl Pendry on 07-08-2010
If the only time you've heard Burgundy mentioned before is as a dark red color, then you wouldn't be alone. Before our recent road trip around Europe, that's about all I thought of when I heard the word, but once I started my research, I soon ...

Spectacular Space Bags
"This is in addition to the tip from this week about the space bags. I've been using them the past couple trips for even traveling to Florida (not just from). I've been able to pack 3 people (2 adults and one kids under 3) in one suitcase with the help of the space bags. These also help with those Florida downpours in keeping your clothes dry if your suitcase should happen to be caught outside. On our last trip a bottle of spray sunscreen ended up being broken and leaked all over. Even though I had it in a zip lock bag it still got out and since all my clothes were in space bags they were protected. One t-shirt I'd bought on the trip unfortunately was thrown in at the last minute and was stained by the sunscreen."
