New Blog Entry: Keeping Your Scrapbooking Supplies Organized
Authored by: GoofyMom on 02/01/2012 (3 days ago)

Have you ever spent an entire weekend scrapping? I just did! Do you remember the Disney themed scrapbooking website, MouseScrappers, that I told you about last week? We had a marathon scrap weekend and I got 16 pages done. I found that I had some photos from 2007 that hadn’t been done yet. That’s nothing though, I have a trip to Disneyland that still needs to be scrapped.  We went there in 2000! That is a common observation among many scrappers – it’s so hard to keep caught up with your photos. When you start getting years behind like I did, how do you keep organized? There’s a lot to organize in scrapping. For digi scrappers you have photos and kits. Paper scrappers have a lot more to ke... Keep reading ...

New Blog Entry: You Can Go to Disney in the Morning?
Authored by: aliceinwdw on 02/01/2012 (3 days ago)

So every avid traveler either just laughed at me or is wondering if my blog has been hacked. Well no, it's me, Kelly. I'm just asking this because I was thinking about random things that I could discuss this week and, well, since I was doing so while making my coffee, I wondered: Do those of you who travel with the grown-up crowd hit the parks super early? Or do you prefer to take your time and tour at a more leisurely pace? I know that after answering some of the various questions from members in the Planning forum regarding early breakfasts and transportation availability, rope drops, and. . .wait. I don't answer questions about these things! Ha ha ha. I mean it's not because I do... Keep reading ...

New Blog Entry: Autism at Disney: Tips From my PassPorter Friends
Authored by: Pamela Dorr on 02/01/2012 (3 days ago)

Photo illustrating A Well Loved Blanket
For anyone visiting the Vacationing Your Way: Special Needs forum on PassPorter.com, you will notice many threads about dealing with a variety of special needs at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and Disney Cruise Lines. In my last few posts I have talked about my personal experiences with Hidden Needs at Disney. However, I know that my experiences don’t reflect every Hidden Need out there. So today, I draw inspiration from my PassPorter friends. (I’m sure I will draw inspiration from them in the future as well, so this is just the start of a – hopefully – long tradition.)   One Hidden Need that is often addressed on the PassPorter forums is Autism. I have read many, many tips f... Keep reading ...

New Blog Entry: What is the Disney Vacation Club or DVC?
Authored by: Cheryl Pendry on 01/29/2012 (7 days ago)

DVC, three letters that mean so much to those who are members of the Disney Vacation Club, but for those aren’t, what’s it all about?   In a nutshell, the DVC is Disney’s user-friendly version of timeshare. Forget any horror stories you’ve heard about hard sells, this is very different. If you want to walk away without buying, you can. We did, when we first explored the idea on our honeymoon all the way back in 1999. It just wasn’t right for us then, and Disney were completely happy with our decision. Three years later, we became members and we’ve never looked back. Another difference with many other timeshares is that you don’t just buy a two-week vacation for a certain time of ... New Blog Entry: It's the CAREGIVER's Vacation Too!!
Authored by: Pamela Dorr on 01/26/2012

Every day I deal with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Social Phobia, Generalized Anxiety, Major Depression, and Hereditary Spastic Paraparesis. However, I personally only "suffer" from a mild case of depression. So why do I deal with all those other things? Simple, I am a mom, girlfriend, and caregiver to two wonderful people that are diagnosed with these mental and physical problems. Disney trips are a chance for all of us to forget about the diagnoses for a little while, to an extent. I am the trip planner. I make sure that my boyfriend gets face time with his favorite characters in an environment where he is more comfortable. This means that I reserve a dinner or breakfast seating at on...
