Travel articles, photos, tips, and advice from fellow travelers. Old Faithful Inn: The Inspiration for Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort by Cheryl Pendry on 01-05-2012
With Disney’s wonderful attention to detail, it’s only natural that, from time to time, you’ll visit places around the world and realise where the Disney Imagineers got their inspiration.
As our boat first pulled up to Venice, I couldn’t help but exclaim “it’s just like World Showcase,” while our visit to the real Akershus castle was made all the more special by having seen Norway in Epcot first. More ...

Keep your ID, cards, and cash handy and secure with a PassPorter PassHolder Pouch, a lightweight, six-compartment pouch with an attached neck cord.
'I admit I wasn't all that sure I would really 'needed' the PassHolder Pouch. Even my husband was hesitant to use it, but after the first day on our trip, we couldn't imagine our entire vacation without them! Our Key Cards, receipts, and money were kept save and with us at all time. Even with the rain, it kept everything dry. A must!' -- SandiF from San Jose, CA

| TIP |
"when packing mix up the contents so that there are at least one outfit per person in each suitcase, just in case a suitcase goes missing.
Ensure you have a outfit in your hand luggage just in case all hold luggage goes missing
Take a photo of each suitcase and the content. Helps locate missing luggage at the airport or parks(back packs etc)
Have a luggage label on both outside and inside of each suitcase. The outside one could go missing. I use my business card rather than declare my home details.
DH does not drink coffee. Make sure you ask for hot tea if you want a cuppa or you might end up with iced tea instead (UK specific).
We also bring our teabags from home It's cheaper and can have our preferred brand. We use the coffee maker to generate the hot water. The teabags are placed in the mug/jug first thus stewing whilst the water filters through
If you have sensitivity skin bring your own brand of laundry detregent from home. if you are planning to do any laundry whilst on vacation. Remember to take powder form or solid tablets. Would also advise it is an unopened box for custom/secuirty reason. Leave the unused detregent behind in the room
Ditto for dryer sheets. bring your own. These also are good to pop in with the dirty washing on the way home or smelly footwear.
Make copies of your passport, tickets, itertinary, insurance, driving licence etc take a set of copies with you and store in the hotel safe or in a secret place. Keep a set of copies at home with a trusted friend/family member
Don't forget bank details & card travel cheques etc. You can tick of which travel you used at the end of each day
If we use travel cheques we mix them up between us. I have some DH's and he has same of mine. Just in case a purse or wallet goes missing. It happen and DH was left with no money or cards at all. Never again." Tip by Alison
